Chairman's Ambassadors Meeting (Ambassador Members Only)

Chairman's Ambassadors meet monthly to build a better Chamber through volunteer leadership.  They work to engage members in Chamber events and activities, increase retention of current members, and recruit new members.  Members of the Ambassadors are selected through a nomination process and must be active participants in a vareity of Lenexa Chamber events, programs and committees.  For additional information about this and other volunteer opportunities, please contact Liz Albers.

Chamber Charity Days - KidsTLC

Chamber Charity Days - KidsTLC
Connect & network with fellow Chamber Members while supporting and interacting with the kids at KidsTLC!  We will play games, make crafts, and more!  (The 2.5 hour period includes a mandatory 30 minute training session).  Volunteers (up to 15) must be at least 21 years old and will be registered on a first-come basis.    
  
Each day, KidsTLC treats the most trauma-impacted children in our city, state, region and even the country.  Many children arrive with only the clothing on their backs, shoes that don’t fit and a trash bag with very few belongings.  Through successful and highly innovative services, KidsTLC consistently provides hope and healing for thousands each year through residential psychiatric treatment, outpatient behavioral health, outreach for homeless teens, autism, and parent support services.

Sponsored by MW Builders, the August luncheon will feature keynote speaker Bryan Lowry, lead political reporter for the Kansas City Star.  Lowry attracted a national audience with his coverage of the state’s politics at the Wichita Eagle. His reporting on the handling of the governor’s budget led to a change in the state’s open records law.  Join us for a lively recap of the primary elections and a look forward to the general election.
