Even after walking for miles and miles, the water they drink is often contaminated. We are partnering with Water Mission to help break this cycle of poverty. By walking a similar trek at Walk for Water KC, you can help raise funds and bring awareness to the global water crisis. About the Event:Walkers start with an empty bucket. Half-way through, they will fill their bucket with water and then continue walking. At the end of the course, they will empty their buckets of water into a pool. To demonstrate how Water Mission brings sustainable, clean water and sanitation to over 55 impoverished countries worldwide, walkers can watch the water go through a Grundfos SQ pump, then fed to the Living Water Treatment System where it's filtered. We hope that everyone leaves Walk for Water KC with a better understanding of the daily challenges people around the world face while in search of something that we often take for granted—water.Where to Meet: We will meet at the Grand Pavilion shelter in Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park. The park features a kid-friendly playground and a large scenic pond. Walkers will walk on paved trails near the shelter. Come hungry! We're serving up breakfast after the walk. When:Saturday, September 28, 2019 8:00 AM thru 10:30 AMWhere:Grand Pavilion shelter at Sar-Ko-Par Trails ParkW 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66215For More Info:Joel Jackson816-534-4053joeljackson@grundfos.comhttp://events.watermissions.org/site/TR?fr_id=2181&pg=entry Add to calendar Apple Google Microsoft 365 Outlook (desktop)Calendar ViewMember Directory | Calendar of Events | Member Account | Calendar of Events | Members Bulletin Board
